This years love.

It has been just over a year since I last published anything form this blog.  There are 4 drafts in my inbox that never quite got finished. So I apologise. Mostly to myself as I should really write more frequently. It keeps my brain from drying up and knocking around my head. Since the last post a lot has happened from the devastating loss of my Grandmother to Marrying the love of my life. Life truly is a path unknown. All the while music is still forever present.

Our wedding was a beautiful day. (I think my Granny made sure of that) Music was our theme. The tables named after our favourite albums, our guest book was old vinyl and place cards were tickets with CD and plectrum favours. My flowers were made out of sheet music and there on our cake was our son wearing headphones. We had an amazing time and Thank everyone for making it possible.

Our first dance was chosen by my beautiful husband. He says it reminded him of us.
A rainy night in Soho by The Pogues.

It is a beautiful melodic tune with Shane MacGowan's haunting voice resonating through it. I can honestly say I smile so much now when I hear it played. A memory I shall forever have.

We had songs played dedicated to our parents along with our sons favourite tune from the Cars Movie soundtrack. All in all there was something for everybody. Massive thanks goes to our DJ who orchestrated the evening reception.

Below is our son (with funny false teeth) cutting in on our first dance action.
